Biosphere Boodja Arts and Wild Things Festival

This September, Goomalling comes alive with the Biosphere Boodja Arts and Wild Things Festival — a free two-day celebration of creativity, music, light, and nature. I’m excited to be one of the featured artists, creating a crop circle artwork inspired by my black cockatoo porcelain vases and the native flora they call home. Join me, along with incredible artists, musicians, and makers, for a weekend of workshops, performances, dome projections, and the joyful March of the Echidna clay sculpture parade. Free entry, with camping, glamping, and paid experiences available.

Danica Wichtermann Edge of the Wedge at WEDGE — Australian Ceramics Triennale 2025

Danica Wichtermann is featured in WEDGE: Australia’s National Ceramics Triennale 2025 at Fremantle’s Old Customs House (26 Sept – 5 Oct). Showcasing her hand-carved porcelain vessels inspired by Australia’s native flora and the endangered Forest Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, Danica’s work invites reflection on the fragility and beauty of our bushland.

This prestigious exhibition runs alongside the Biosphere Boodja Arts and Wild Things Festival, where Danica is also a featured artist.

This is by far one of the City of Cockburn's well-loved ART events. Each year Memorial Hall opens its doors to the public so they can view what local Cockburn artists have to show off.

Danica has been working alongside her father Nis Wichtermann for many years from her childhood home in Spearwood, where they often host events and classes.
They are both excited to share some of their recent work at this great exhibition.
